Training Tips

LA fitness are the proud new sponsors of the 2013 Standard Chartered Great City Race.

In the run up to race day our sponsors, LA fitness, will be supporting you with your training every step of the way. With professional advice from how to get started, maintaining a balanced diet during training, and what you need to do on the day to be at your best, they’ll help you to prepare for success.

Look out for new training and fitness advice added to our site every month, including tips on running techniques, specific exercise programmes to build up stamina and even more nutritional advice to keep you feeling strong & healthy.

Leading up to race day, competitions will be run across our social media channel giving you the chance to win trial gym memberships to give you access to their great facilities and really push your training up a gear. And if that’s not enough to get you motivated, they will also be running free training boot camps, group running clubs and activity on the HAC ground on race day to get you in peak fitness – keep your eye out here for further announcements within the runner Newsletters each month!
