2020 Standard Chartered Great City Race
The 2020 Standard Chartered Great City Race will take place as planned on Tuesday 21 July – but in a new format. The Covid-19 pandemic means it’s not possible to run on the traditional course through the City of London this year so instead you’re invited to run from home, work or wherever you are!
At a time when so many people are isolated from friends, family and work, this is a great way to enable colleagues to connect, find some motivation to get out and run which has great mental and physical health benefits, whilst also helping to raise funds for Futuremakers, a global initiative to tackle inequality and promote greater economic inclusion for young people.
Team Captains will be able to create a team in the usual way and participants can run from home, work, or wherever they are, taking on the 5km at whatever time they choose on 21 July, observing the Government guidelines on social distancing.
Entries can be created and paid for by the Team Captain or individually by team members. To start creating your team and to find out more, click the button below.
Participants will be able to download an official running number from the website and then log their running times with organisers, and in return they’ll receive:
- A 2020 Standard Chartered Great City Race New Balance technical finisher T-Shirt
- A 2020 Standard Chartered Great City Race finisher’s medal
Entries cost £15 and £5 from every entry will be donated to the charity Futuremakers by Standard Chartered. In addition, Standard Chartered will match fund the total raised through entry fees.
