About the Standard Chartered Great City Race

The Standard Chartered Great City Race returns for 2024 on 23 July. Apply for places via Let's Do This below. The event is London's premier corporate running challenge for teams. It is held on a spectacular 5K course that takes in some of the capital's most famous landmarks, including St Paul's Cathedral, Tower 42 and the Bank of England. Whether you want to compete for a podium place or have a laugh at your leisure, it is a brilliant chance to catch up with colleagues while getting active in the heart of London.

Entry to the Standard Chartered Great City Race and Team Captains!

This event is a corporate team challenge, so we do not accept individual entries.

Any company can enter and you will need to nominate a Team Captain to organise your entry.

Once the entries are live your Team Captain will submit the size of your team. When this is approved they can invite the individual team members to register.

Your role as Team Captain is to send your team members an entry link, check they have received this link and make sure each member completes their entry form before the deadline. Details on how to do this will be emailed to you when you enter your team.

As Team Captain, you will also receive your Event Packs, and you will need to distribute these among your team.

Start Line Waves

All participants will be asked to input their predicted 5K time when they register their place in the event.

Once entries have closed, we will then arrange participants into one of four Start Line waves according to their predicted time, with the fastest being in the first wave and so on.

Assembly Area

The pre- and post-event Assembly Area is at the Honourable Artillery Company Grounds, EC1Y 2BQ.

There's changing facilities available, but no showers. We cannot accept any responsibility for any items left inside the changing facility, so we suggest that you leave any valuables with a friend or colleague who is coming to support you.

You will receive your Event Guide a week before the event. It includes everything you need to know about Event Day.
