Standard Chartered Great City Race to raise funds for new initiative
The 2019 Standard Chartered Great City Race will take place on 16 July 2019 and this year, for the first time, £10 from each entry fee will be donated to Futuremakers by Standard Chartered – a new, global initiative to tackle inequality and promote greater economic inclusion for young people in underserved communities around the world.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to realise their potential, and yet more than 200 million young people globally are out of work or live in low-income poverty. Through the Futuremakers by Standard Chartered programmes, we can help to promote economic inclusion and empower our next generation to learn, earn and grow. The programmes enable disadvantaged young people to learn new skills and improve their chances of getting a job or starting their own business, and include financial education training.
All money raised for Futuremakers from this year’s Standard Chartered Great City Race will go towards education, employability and entrepreneurship programmes for disadvantaged young people around the world.
We can't wait to see you and your colleagues in central London at this year’s event – and thank you for doing your bit to support such a brilliant cause!
